Thermion will open two wind projects in Tamaulipas

TAMAULIPAS.- Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca held a meeting with executives of Thermion, an independent Mexican renewable energy company dedicated to generating electricity through clean technologies, which will build 2 wind farms in the state from 2020.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Project Development, Lucy Peralta, and the Director of Marketing, Xiomara Martin, and by the Government of Tamaulipas the Secretary of Economic Development, Carlos Alberto García González.

Xiomara Martin highlighted the comprehensive economic development model of Tamaulipas, with which he said, it seeks to grow, be sustainable and generate social welfare.

“We share the holistic vision that the Governor has, especially in the energy part and we appreciate his efforts to take hand not only projects with economic impact, but that these are also reflected in the social part,” he said.

Among the two projects mentioned, there is the Delaro project that will have a capacity of 117 MW with an estimated start of construction for this year and Los Molinos with a capacity of 171 MW and an estimated construction for 2020.
